You are invited to a free book giveaway event on Saturday, August 12, 12:30-4:30 p.m. at the Pearson Place Clubhouse, 10000 Ivalenes Hope Dr., Austin, TX 78717. The goal of this event is to honor the memory of our dear friend and book lover, Shaheena Karimi.
Shaheena’s parents Nizar and Shahida Karimi would like to distribute her collection of books to people who hold a similar passion for the written word. The books are on a variety of subjects. Please spread the word and also bring family and friends. There is no cost for any of the books. We are simply looking for good homes for these books. Light refreshments will be served at the event.
During her lifetime, Shaheena collected hundreds of books on a variety of topics. She had an unparalleled passion for reading which was not only reflective of her avid book collection at home but also of how she departed from her loved ones. On the night of her 33rd birthday, she passed away peacefully while reading one of her favorite books. This year is the 13th anniversary of her passing.
